30 August is one of my favorite and most personal compositions. I gave it the title of my birth date because this piece feels like a true reflection of who I am.

More than any other piece I had written at the time, it seemed to carry something deeply personal — my emotions, my memories and the way I experience music. It felt less like a piece I had simply composed, and more like a part of myself expressed through the piano.

That is why I chose 30 August as its title: not simply as a date, but as a signature of something that represents me in a very personal way.
